Colt
"Colt is the star Attraction at Starr Park! His good looks, Charisma and gun twirling tricks win over any audience, except maybe Shelly."
Class: Damage Dealer
Rarity: Rare
Trio: Ranger Ranch with Shelly and Spike
Best skin: Renegade Mecha Colt
Title: "The Pretty"
Prestige Title: "PEW PEW PEW"
Colt is a brawler that has some of the highest single-target damage output in the game at long range. However, he is one of the most skillful brawlers in the game due to his shots being so hard to hit, and requires good aim to play effectively.
Health: 3100 to 6200
Movement speed: Normal
Main Attack: Six-Shooters
"Colt shoots six straight long-range shots out of his revolvers."
Damage: 6 x 360 to 720
Range: Long
Reload speed: Fast
Colt's main attack is a thin stream of six bullets that deal moderate damage. However, they can deal very high amounts if you are able to land them all, though this is easier said than done.
Super: Bullet Storm
"Colt rattles off a massive burst of bullets that shoot extra far and destroy cover."
Damage: 12 x 320 to 640
Charge Rate: 12 projectiles
Recharge Rate: 15 projectiles
Range: Very Long
Colt's super is essentially an upgraded to his main attack, operating in the same way, except there are twice the amount of bullets and they break walls and bushes. This is very good for Colt, since has long range favors the map to be as open as possible to connect more shots.
Gadget 1: Speedloader
"Colt fires two quick shots that slow targets. Deals 640 damage."
Cooldown: 15 seconds
This is a very solid gadget for Colt, since his normal shots are so hard to hit. The slow allows him to hit shots on the enemy while slowed, however it doesn't last very long. The gadget also has a very long range and high projectile speed, allowing it to be aimed very far from enemies for chip damage and crowd control.
Gadget Buffie
"Each hit steals 0.5 ammo."
This is an incredibly strong gadget buffie, giving Speedloader the ability to steal opponent's ammo. This changes many interactions, giving Colt an additional ammo while taking away an opponent's ammo, which can allow for Colt to attack with little to no retaliation if the gadget connects.
Gadget 2: Silver Bullet
"Colt fires a bullet that destroys the environment and pierces Brawlers. Deals 1200 damage. Consumes ammo."
Cooldown: 17 seconds
This gadget allows Colt to break open the map even more, and can even get surprise kills on opponents on low health behind walls. Combined with Colt's super, this makes Colt one of the best brawlers for wallbreaking and opening up the map.
Gadget Buffie
"Shoot a larger bullet that deals more damage."
This is a solid gadget buffie, simply buffing the original gadget to be larger and deal more damage. The additional damage allows it to be more useful to damage enemy brawlers rather than exclusively break open the map.
Star Power 1: Slick Boots
"Colt's movement speed is increased by 13%."
This star power turns Colt from a normal movement speed brawler into a very fast movement speed brawler, almost the same as Max and Edgar. This star power makes it easier to deal more damage with Colt, as you need to move the same direction as the enemy to connect more shots. It also makes it easier for him to retreat and dodge incoming shots.
Star Buffie
"Gain movement speed when dealing damage."
This can be a very strong star buffie if Colt is able to land his main attack or super, as the movement speed increase is very substantial, allowing him to dodge more shots and close the gap on enemies much more effectively. Combined with the star power's normal effect, Colt can have one of the fastest movement speeds in the game.
Star Power 2: Magnum Special
"Colt's attack range and bullet speed are increased by 11%."
This is also a good star power for Colt, as range and bullet speed increase make it easier to connect shots with him, and improves his matchups against other marksmen as they have similar range.
Star Buffie
"Deal increased damage to distant targets."
This gadget buffie grants up to 5% extra damage based on how far away the target is from Colt. It can be nice, however the extra damage is incredibly small, and it is very hard for Colt to hit enemies at his max distance.
Hypercharge: Dual Wielding
"Bullet Storm is 120% wider."
Charge rate: 3 supers
Colt's Hypercharge is overall a decent hypercharge. It increases the width of his super, making it easier to connect. However, this does not increase the number of bullets in his hypercharged super. The damage buff he gains allows his super to be very deadly from a long range, easier killing squishy brawlers if it connects.
Hyper Buffie
"Fire bullets quicker during Hypercharge."
Colt's hyper buffie makes his main attack bullets fire out much faster, leading to him have an incredibly fast unload speed. If he is able to connect his shots, they can now deal a devastating amount of damage to targets. However, they are still just as hard to hit as before, so good aim is still needed to get value out of this buffie.
Gear selection:
Colt's best gear is shield, as he has low health and the shield gear allows him to survive more interactions. For his second gear, damage is a great choice to increase his damage output even more when he is on low health.

Best Matchups:
Colt's best matchups are against brawlers with low mobility or brawlers that rely on walls to be viable. 8-Bit has the slowest movement speed in the game, making him a good target for Colt, however be aware that he also has high damage and HP, so approach that matchup with caution. Some good examples of brawlers that rely on walls that he counters is Barley and Sprout, and he can even break Sprout's walls.
Best Counters:
Colt is countered by brawlers with high mobility that are easily able to dodge his shots, brawlers that outrange him, or brawlers that can take advantage of his low HP and burst him down at close range. Good examples of this are Max, as she can easily weave between his shots, Piper as she has the range advantage and can 2 shot him, and Leon, since he has similar range to Colt and can easily assassinate him when he uses his invisibility.
Best Game Modes:
Colt's best modes are Heist and Bounty/Wipeout. The heist safe is a stationary object, easily allowing Colt to hit all of his bullets on it, and combined with his reload speed, Speedloader gadget, and hypercharge, can absolutely destroy the safe faster than most brawlers in the game. He can also play a key role in Bounty/Wipeout by getting rid of the enemy's cover and allowing the marksman on your team to have an easier time connecting shots.
Tips and Tricks:
-
When shooting an enemy at long range, make sure to move in the same direction as them as you fire, as this will lead to more bullets connecting on them.
-
If there is an enemy with less than 1440 health (if you are max level) behind a wall, you can quickly use your Silver Bullet gadget and auto aim to kill them.
-
Colt without his super or hypercharge can still fully kill a heist safe in less than 30 seconds. Try to get locked on the safe as much as you can.
-
You should never autoaim with Colt. It is always better to manually aim to connect more bullets instead of auto aiming and missing 5 times in a row. The only exception to this is when you are literally right on top of someone or you are attacking a stationary target, such as a heist safe or a Jessie turret.
-
In Brawl Ball, it is very easy for Colt to score a goal. If you have either his super or Silver Bullet gadget ready, you can aim the ball at a wall without an opponent in front of it, pass the ball and quickly either gadget or super the wall, allowing the ball to pass through and give you an easy goal.
-
Colt pairs very well with brawlers who have crowd control, such as a slow or stun, as it allows Colt to easily connect all his bullets on CC'd targets.
