Rosa
"Rosa is a botanist with a strong connection to plants. She's also a boxer, and won't hesitate to punch one of her specimens if it goes out of control!"
Class: Tank
Rarity: Rare
Trio: Botany with Bea and Sprout
Best skin: Sugarplum Rosa
Title: "Touching Grass"
Prestige Title: "Blooming"

Rosa is a tank that thrives in bushes and brings a lot of bulk, however she doesn't do the most damage, and has short range and limited ways to close the gap on enemies

Health: 5400 to 10800
Movement speed: Fast

Trait: Charges super from taking damage(aka tank trait)

Main Attack: Hands of Stone
"Rosa throws a flurry of powerful punches with perfect technique!"
Damage: 3 x 500 to 1000
Range: Short
Reload speed: Very Fast
Rosa's main attack is 3 cone shaped punches that do decent damage. They can almost always be autoaimed if in range. It has a fast reload speed, making it so you will almost always have ammo at the ready.

Super: Strong Stuff
"Rosa gets a second skin of tough vine for 3 seconds, decreasing all damage received by 70% for the duration."
Damage reduction: 70%
Duration: 4 seconds
Rosa's super is a simple damage reduction shield. This can allow her to engage on enemies much easier, as it is very hard to kill her while she has her shield up. It is also cycled very effectively if Rosa is engaged in combat while her super is active, allowing her to chain multiple shields.

Gadget 1: Grow Light
"Rosa fertilizes the ground around her and bushes instantly grow to provide great cover."
Cooldown: 13 seconds
This is a great to connect bushes to each other and turn almost the whole map into bushes. This can be great, especially if the enemy team has brawlers that don't do well with bushes. However, it can also be potentially bad for Rosa's team if playing into brawlers that thrive in bushes.

Gadget 2: Unfriendly Bushes
"All opponents hiding in bushes take 300 damage and get slowed down for 3 seconds."
Cooldown: 14 seconds
This is another good gadget for Rosa, especially on bushy maps, as it reveals the location of all enemies in bushes. It also slows them, making it easier for Rosa and her team to run the enemies down.

Star Power 1: Plant Life
"Rosa recovers 432 health per second when inside a bush."
This is a decent star power for Rosa, as she is often played in bushes. However, the healing isn't substantial, as she already has a large health pool. It is most effective while Rosa's super is active since she is taking less damage.

Star Power 2: Thorny Gloves
"Rosa's punches gain +300 damage during her super."
This is a great star power for Rosa, as it allows her to deal some solid damage while in her super, which Rosa often lacks. She is also likely in range of enemies during her super, letting her get maximum value out of the star power.

Hypercharge: Grasping Roots
"Rosa slows down all nearby enemies while her Super is active."
Charge rate: 2 supers
Rosa overall has a pretty good hypercharge, allowing her to close the gap against enemies more effectively with the slowing effect and speed buff. She is very hard to kill with her hypercharge, and it cycles relatively fast especially with her trait.

Gear selection:
Rosa's best gear by far is speed gear, as most of her build revolves around bushes. As for her second gear, damage can be good to increase her damage, and health also works well with since she has high health.

Best Matchups:
Rosa does great into brawlers that have slow reload speeds, as they heavily struggle to kill her through her sheer health. They also need to be relatively short range so she is able to land her attacks and build up her super. Good examples of this are Jacky, Ash, and Buster, as they are all short range brawlers that don't have fast reload speeds, and have no way to get away from Rosa during her super.

Best Counters:
Rosa is countered by brawlers who can interrupt her, as she won't be able to attack during her super, leaving her unable to cycle it. Rosa is an easy kill when she doesn't have her super up. Shelly is great against Rosa, as she gets melted by her if Rosa doesn't have her super, and even when she does, Shelly will be able to knock her back and slow her, leading to her super duration being wasted. Frank is also great against Rosa due to his health being way too high for Rosa to get down and his ability to stun her during her super. Lou is good for a similar reason, being able to consistently stun and zone at Rosa at long range.

Best Game Modes:
Rosa is mainly played in Gem Grab, as most of the maps have a lot of bushes that enable Rosa to thrive and connect with her Grow Light gadget. She can also be a decent tank in Brawl Ball, as you need specific counters to knock the ball out of her hands. If the enemy doesn't have those counters, Rosa can easily walk the ball in with her super. There is also a niche strategy with her in Hot Zone that involves her covering the zone in bushes with her Grow Light gadget.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Don't use Rosa's super at low HP, as the damage reduction likely won't save you.
-
Try to sneak around in bushes with Rosa, and pounce on enemies when they least expect it.
-
If you activate Rosa's super at the end of her hypercharge duration, she will still keep the slowing area for the entire duration of her super.
-
Rosa is incredibly good with supports, as her shield reduces damage, but it doesn't reduce healing. This makes each heal carry more value.
-
Rosa is also great with speed boosts, as a fast Rosa with super is very hard to take down, especially for more long range brawlers, as they likely don't have the damage to stop her before she kills them.
-
Use Grow Light to connect sections of bushes together, allowing for most of the map to be covered in bushes. This is great for Rosa, however be aware of how it affects your teammates and enemies, as giving enemy tanks or high damage brawlers more bushes can be detrimental.
