Buzz
"Buzz is a lifeguard at the Velocirapids water park and a real stickler for the rules. He clearly enjoys wielding the tiny bit of authority he has to the greatest degree possible."
Class: Assassin
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Velocirapids with Doug
Best skin: Godzilla Buzz
Mastery title: "Born Bad"

Buzz is a assassin that excels in 1v1 interactions with his stunning super. He has very short range, but can charge his super from enemies nearby. His hypercharge and gadget also give incredible mobility, being able to rapidly travel across the map.

Health: 4800 to 9600
Movement speed: Fast

Trait: Charges super while enemies are close by.

Main Attack: Buzz Off
"Buzz blows on his lifeguard whistle, piercing nearby ears five times in an arc."
Damage: 5 x 420 to 840
Range: Short
Reload Speed: Very Fast
Buzz's main attack fires out 5 close range shots that go in a wide arc from left to right. The attack deal a lot of damage if they all connect, and also pierce through all enemies. It also reloads incredibly fast, meaning ammo will almost never be an issue for Buzz.

Super: Can-Do
"Buzz throws out his torpedo buoy. If it hits an opponent or a wall, Buzz hauls himself over there, stunning nearby opponents where he lands. The stun time increases based on distance travelled."
Maximum stun duration: 1.5 seconds
Minimum stun duration: 0.5 seconds
Range: Very Long
Buzz's super is essentially a long-ranged grappling hook that pulls him towards an enemy or wall, then stuns enemies in a small area. The stun is also longer the further away the grappled enemy is, up to a max duration of 1.5 seconds. Since Buzz's main attacks deal so much damage up close, Buzz is an amazing 1v1 brawler with his super, as there is almost no counterplay if he is able to get the stun on the enemies. Buzz's super is also great for mobility, as it also can hook him onto walls, and charges passively through his trait.

Gadget 1: Reserve Buoy
"Instantly fills the Super meter, but the next Torpedo Throw doesn't stun opponents."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This is an amazing gadget for Buzz, giving him even better mobility. He can use this gadget to get on top of an easy matchup where he doesn't need to stun, but it is mainly used to get around the map faster by hooking onto walls. However, you don't want to use this gadget if you are close to your super, as it it more worth it to wait a bit to fully charge it rather than immediately using one without a stun.

Gadget 2: X-Ray-Shades
"Buzz can see into all bushes in his Super charging area for 12 seconds."
Cooldown: 20 seconds
This is a great gadget for Buzz on maps with a lot of bushes, as it can gives Buzz incredible vision, especially when combined with his Eyes Sharp star power. However, it is only useful on these maps, making it a bit situational compared to his other gadget.

Star Power 1: Tougher Torpedo
"The minimum duration of Buzz's Super stun is increased by 0.5 seconds."
This star power makes Buzz's super more effective at close range, as enemies hit will now be stunned for longer. This star power can turn Buzz into a solid tank counter rather than assassin, as he can stun tanks for him and his teammates to clean up.

Star Power 2: Eyes Sharp
"Buzz's Super charging area is increased by 33%."
This is a simple but incredibly effective star power, making his super charging area cover a much bigger portion of the map, allowing him to be more viable on maps that don't have a lot of walls and bushes. It also allows him to charge and cycle through his supers much more effectively as it is very easy to get multiple enemies inside of its range.

Hypercharge: The Goodest Boy
"Buzz's torpedo can now be used again if he hits a wall"
Charge rate: 4 supers
Buzz's hypercharge gives him some of the best mobility in the game temporarily, allowing him to use his super infinitely if it hits a wall. This allows him to fly all over the map and easily lock down a target or secure an objective. However, make sure not to miss a super, as it will likely lead to you not getting where you want to be.

Gear selection:
Buzz's best gears are shield and damage, as the extra stats they provide are incredibly useful in 1v1 interactions, which is where Buzz shines most. On bushy maps, speed is also a great gear for Buzz, allowing him to travel around the map more effectively.

Best Matchups:
Buzz is great into brawlers he can easily lock down with his super and get a free kill on, as some brawlers have no counterplay to his stunning super, such as Ruffs. Brawlers such as Carl get hard countered by Buzz, as his super can interrupt Carl's super, letting Buzz get an easy kill on him. Brawlers such as Bibi that take a while to fire out their attack are also countered well by Buzz's stun, and Buzz can often shred through her HP before she can fire out her shots, especially if Buzz has Tougher Torpedo equipped.

Best Counters:
Buzz is countered by most general assassin counters, as they often have crowd control to stop him before he stuns them. Brawlers such as Otis and Surge can easily use their crowd control abilities and high burst damage to shred through Buzz before he can land a stun on them. Some tanks also hard counter Buzz, as he can't shred through their health before the stun is over. Jacky is a great example of this, as she can rapidly fire out her attacks once the stun is over, and her Counter Crush star power allows her to deal damage back to Buzz even if she is stunned.

Best Game Modes:
Buzz is an amazing brawler for Showdown and Duels, as his 1v1 nature allows him to be almost unbeatable with his super. For 3v3, Buzz is a solid Brawl Ball option due to his super being able to knock the ball out of enemy hands, allowing for him to be great on offense and defense. His hypercharge is also great for scoring goals, as he can have infinite stuns if he hits a wall, and can easily dribble the ball up the map.

Tips and Tricks:
-
You can use Buzz's Reserve Buoy gadget on a wall at the beginning of a match to gain position on the map, which can lead to Buzz getting his first super easier.
-
Make sure to abuse walls with Buzz, as his trait allows him to charge his super if an enemy is near him, and he can use walls for his protection.
-
Since Buzz's main attack goes from left to right, try to not move to the right while firing Buzz's attack, as you will likely end up doing less damage.
-
You can also use Reserve Buoy to latch yourself on to an enemy that you know you can kill without a stun, allowing you to take them by surprise without your super.
-
If you have Buzz's hypercharge but not his super, you can use the super from Reserve Buoy and hit a wall, since after that all your supers will be normal supers. This allows you to get value out of your hypercharge even if you don't have your super at the same time.
-
You can use 2 supers at once with Buzz's Reserve Buoy gadget and normal super or hypercharge, but it requires incredibly fast hands and precise placement, making it nearly impossible to do for most players.
-
You can combine Buzz's super and Reserve Buoy to get to enemies hiding behind walls, but keep in mind that you won't be able to stun them.
-
Another creative way to use Reserve Buoy in Brawl Ball is to use your normal super to super kick the ball, then use Reserve Buoy to immediately catch the ball if you throw it near a wall.
-
At mid and close range, auto-aiming Buzz's super is often reliable, however make sure to aim it at long ranges.
-
While Buzz is pulling himself toward an enemy/wall, he can be interrupted by knockbacks or stuns, canceling the super. Be mindful of which enemies can do this, as they can often lead to Buzz wasting his super.
-
Even without his X-Ray-Shades gadget, Buzz can use his super charging ring to scout out enemies in bushes.
