Mina
"Mina is a b-girl who mixes capoeira into her breakdance battles like it's second nature. She hangs out at SK8 beats with Ollie and uses his mixtapes to practice new moves!"
Class: Damage Dealer
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Skate Beats with Ollie
Best skin: Beatchase Mina
Record title: "The Hurricane"

Mina is a brawler that encompasses several roles, having a high damage main attack, high mobility, strong crowd control with her super, and two very good gadgets. She carries strong versatility and has a high skill ceiling, making her hard to play against if in the right hands.

Health: 3600 to 7200
Movement speed: Fast

Main Attack: Capoeira Combo
"Mina can cycle through three ranged attacks in a certain time period. If she doesn't attack fast enough her combo is broken an the cycle restarts.
Attack 1: Long range & narrow
Attack 2: Medium range & medium width
Attack 3: Short range & wide"
First Attack Damage: 800 to 1600
First Attack Range: Long
Second Attack Damage: 1000 to 2000
Second Attack Range: Normal
Third Attack Damage: 2000 to 4000
First Attack Range: Normal(shorter than second attack)
Reload Speed: Fast
Mina has three different main attacks that work in a combo style. Each time she fires, a timer starts and takes a little more than a second to deplete. If she fires again within the timer, she fires the next attack in her sequence and the timer resets, up to 3 attacks. Her reload speed is much slower than the timer, meaning she can only get to her 2nd and 3rd attacks if she has ammo saved up. For every attack she uses, she also dashes a short distance in the direction she is moving, giving her incredible mobility since she has a relatively fast reload speed. Her first attack is a long ranged projectile that deals relatively low damage, solid for chip damage. Her second attack is a shorter ranged projectile that is wider and deals slightly more damage, being easy to hit at mid range. Her third attack is a very high damage cone-shaped burst after a delay, meaning the attack will come out after she finishes dashing. This attack also pierces through enemies, allowing her to hit multiple at once. Since Mina's attacks decrease in range as you go through her combo, the best way to use her attacks is to hit at the edge of their range, as the dash will automatically close the required distance. Additionally, Mina's super charge scales off her damage, meaning the higher combo attacks charge more of her super.

Super: Furacão 3000
"Mina hits the air, creating a powerful hurricane which deals heavy damage and launches enemies in front of her"
Damage: 1000 to 2000
Range: Long
Mina's super is a long-ranged wide projectile that causes enemies to be airborne when hit and slightly pulls them towards her. Airborne enemies are stunned but cannot be hit by any projectile. Since it is wide, it is relatively easy to hit, but has a very slow projectile speed. Additionally, it dashes Mina in her movement direction and resets her attack timer, similar to her main attack, but doesn't advance her combo.

Gadget 1: Windmill
"Creates a wall of wind that blocks projectiles for 3 secs."
Cooldown: 22 seconds
This gadget is incredibly strong, making a bubble around Mina that blocks projectiles. It acts similarly to a wall, meaning single-target and piercing projectiles are blocked, but projectiles that go through walls go through her bubble. Overall, it is incredibly strong, as it makes most enemies unable to attack her for 3 seconds, giving Mina enhanced survivability, allowing her to go more aggressive. It can also be used when Mina is close to her teammates to protect them from incoming projectiles.

Gadget 2: Capo-What?
"Mina's next Super recharges instantly if it hits."
Cooldown: 22 seconds
This is also an incredibly strong gadget for Mina, essentially giving her two supers in one. It allows Mina to get extra damage and crowd control off on the enemy, often stunlocking them and reducing any counterplay against her. However, it does require her to hit her first super, which can occasionally be hard against longer ranged matchups, meaning this gadget should be mainly used on shorter ranged maps.

Star Power 1: Zum Zum Zum
"Mina's combo Attack 3 also heals for 50% of damage done."
This star power gives 50% lifesteal to Mina's third combo attack, which is the one that deals the most damage and pierces through enemies. Since it deals the most damage, this means that Mina can get a large burst of healing if she hits, allowing her to survive more fights. However, her third attack does have very short range, which can sometimes limit the value this star power can get in a game.

Star Power 2: Blown Away
"Mina's Super also roots enemies on the spot."
This star power gives slightly more crowd control to Mina's super, having them be rooted after being airborne. This is decent crowd control, however it doesn't last very long since they are already in the air for a decent amount of time, and they can still fire back while rooted.

Hypercharge: Triplecane
"Super now fires 3 hurricanes in a cone shape, which can bounce."
Charge rate: 3 and 1/3 supers
This hypercharge gives Mina's super 2 additional hurricanes that fire out towards the side, makes the pulling effect of the hurricane much stronger, and allows the hurricanes to bounce over walls. The additional hurricanes make Mina's super now cover a huge area, easily catching multiple enemies. The bounce effect makes the hurricanes incredibly powerful in closed-off sections of the map, allowing for it to hit the same enemy multiple times, dealing a ton of damage and stunlocking them for even longer. Lastly, the strong pulling effect can allow Mina and her team to secure kills on the enemies caught much more easily, however you want to save your ammo because they will likely end up right next to you after coming down. Overall, Mina's hypercharge can get teamwipes relatively easily, and doesn't have an incredibly slow charge rate either. Note that her hypercharged super does not instantly recharge her super if she uses her Capo-What? gadget.

Gear selection:
Damage and shield are Mina's best gears overall, giving her great stat boosts to enhance her survivability and damage output. Since both of her gadgets are incredibly strong and have long cooldowns, gadget gear can also be useful to slightly reduce this weakness if you are reliant on her gadget.

Best Matchups:
Mina's mobility, damage, and crowd control make her a hard brawler to deal with, making most matchups solid for her. Overall, she does best into low mobility midrangers such as Colette, Amber, and Emz, as she can both chip them from a distance and burst them up close while dodging their shots or staying out of their range.

Best Counters:
Mina is a hard brawler to counter, as her strength is mainly dependent on the skill level of her user. A good Mina can win almost any matchup, while a bad Mina will end up feeding the enemy. Buster is often a hard matchup into Mina due to him having high health and a gadget that can often get the kill on Mina if she gets too close. His super also reflects Mina's projectiles, making it overall hard for her to push into him. Finx is also a decent counter, as his shots are wide enough to hit her even if she dashes, and his super can slow down Mina's projectiles, forcing her to back away from Finx's super. Tara is also a solid counter to Mina, as her pets can tank Mina's first and second attacks, and Tara's super is an almost guaranteed kill on Mina, even if she uses Windmill.

Best Game Modes:
Mina is a great brawler for almost any mode if you play her right, however her best modes are Brawl Ball and Hot Zone. Her crowd control, mobility, and damage shines best in Brawl Ball, being able to defend, score, and deal consistent damage with good survivability and even teamwipe potential with her hypercharge. In Hot Zone, her Windmill gadget and dashing attacks allow her to be great at holding control on the zone, making her hard to take down if played right.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Use Mina's dashes to get close to the enemies and unleash her full combo, which can deal a ton of damage very quickly.
-
Mina's third attack is the only attack that fires after she dashes, so take into account where you will dash to when using it.
-
Mina's attacks are also great for their general mobility, so use it at the beginning of the match to establish position or in the middle of a long-ranged fight to dodge shots.
-
In long-ranged fights, try to only use Mina's first and second attacks, as she likely won't get close enough to use her third attack or she will overextend. Just let the timer underneath her ammo run out before you attack again to reset her attack back to her first attack.
-
Don't use Mina's super if you are too far away from the enemy, since its slow projectile speed allows enemies to easily get out of its range.
-
When enemies are airborne from Mina's super, don't fire at them until they hit the ground. Line up your shots while they are airborne so they instantly take damage once they are on the ground. Enemies are also in the air longer with her hypercharged super, so be patient and wait until they hit the ground before you start attacking.
-
Mina's ideal full combo when using her Capo-What? gadget is her first attack to get close to the enemy, then activate her gadget and super the enemy, second shot when they land, super again, and third shot when they land. If everything connects, this combo can deal up to 11600 damage, which is enough to kill almost every brawler in the game, and they are in the air for the majority of the time. If you are using Windmill instead, ignore the second super and use her second and third attack when they land.
-
Don't spam out Mina's shots the moment she reloads, as you won't be able to unleash her full combo. Save up ammo to make sure you can get to your second and third attacks.
-
On longer ranged maps, use several of Mina's attacks at the start of the game to gain position, and use Windmill when the enemy starts to fire at you. This allows you to take no damage and quickly put pressure on the enemy team.
-
Mina's Windmill gadget doesn't move with her, so try to stay inside of it if there are still projectiles you want to tank.
-
Using Mina's attacks requires both good aim and movement. Since you dash in the direction you are moving, you don't want to end up dashing into shots or dashing too close to a high burst damage brawler.
-
Mina's hypercharged super is incredibly strong in closed off areas with its bounce effect. This allows it to cover almost the entirety of the area and even hit enemies multiple times.
-
Mina's hypercharge pulls enemies incredibly far, so make sure to save ammo or have support from your teammates in case you pull multiple enemies to your position.
