Ziggy
"Ziggy is an uber theatrical who excels at using electricity in his act. He's a bit full of himself, but hey, he can literally control lightning. Just remember... they're not tricks, they're illusions."
Class: Controller
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Illusionizards
Best skin: Warlock Ziggy
Record title: "The Great"

Ziggy is a solid control focused thrower, having great zoning abilities to keep enemies out of a large area. However, he gets hard countered by aggressive brawlers due to his inability to output consistent damage at close range.

Health: 3000 to 6000
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Ta-Da!
"Ziggy summons a lightning strike at a targeted area. After a short delay, it appears (LIKE MAGIC!) and deals area damage."
Damage: 950 to 1900
Range: Long
Reload Speed: Normal
Ziggy's main attack is a circular lightning strike that damage enemies after a delay. It has decent range, and Ziggy can use this attack from behind walls, meaning he operates like a thrower. It deals good damage on hit, however it can be relatively easy to move out of the strike zone before the strike appears. This means that Ziggy's attack in particular requires good predictions of the opponent's movement. Auto-aim is also very bad with Ziggy's main attack, since any enemy can walk in a straight line and avoid the damage. The attack delay is also the same no matter what range the attack is used at.

Super: Ziggy's Fantastical Storm
"Ziggy unveils his greatest trick, a giant electrical storm that travels rapidly across the environment! It deals massive damage to enemies caught within and moves slower whenever an enemy Brawler is inside."
Damage: 700 to 1400 per second
Duration: 3 to 8 seconds
Range: Very Long
After a brief pause, Ziggy fires out a huge storm that moves and deals damage over time to enemies inside. It covers a huge area and goes over an incredibly long range, making it one of the best area control abilities in the game. When in contact with enemy brawlers, the storm slows down, increasing its own duration and the duration enemies are inside of it. Even though it is big, it often doesn't deal that much damage due to how slow it travels, meaning enemies often run away from or sidestep it.

Gadget 1: Electric Shuffle
"Ziggy hits the nearest enemy with lightning strikes every second for 5 sec. These attacks cost no ammo."
Cooldown: 13 seconds
This gadget essentially gives Ziggy 5 auto aimed shots over the course of 5 seconds. These shots cost no ammo and do not charge up his super. This gadget allows Ziggy to drastically increase his damage output and control, making it deadly for any brawler caught inside his range. Since it auto-aims the attacks, enemies are forced to walk in a straight line, which makes it easier for Ziggy and his teammates to predict their movement, allowing for more connections. It also has an incredibly short cooldown and always provides value, making it great to spam throughout the game whenever it is off cooldown.

Gadget 2: Now You See Me...
"The next lightning strike also teleports Ziggy to the same location."
Cooldown: 13 seconds
This gadget gives Ziggy some additional mobility, allowing him to teleport to his next main attack. However, this gadget doesn't suit Ziggy's kit very well, since he can only use it defensively. Brawlers that attack over walls such as Ziggy don't often need mobility tools since they are squishy, and their shots are often harder to hit up close.

Star Power 1: Thunderstruck
"Brawlers damaged by Ziggy's Super are slowed by 20% for 1 sec."
This star power gives Ziggy's super a slow each time it hits, which is great considering the value it can get. The slow allows Ziggy and his team easily land their shots on the enemy, with Ziggy in particular benefiting since he can attack from behind walls and can auto-aim most slowed brawlers. The slow also makes it much harder for the enemy to escape Ziggy's super, making it deadly to get hit by even one tick of super damage.

Star Power 2: The Great Ziggini
"Hitting with a lightning strike increases the damage of the next main attack by 18%."
This star power gives Ziggy's next attack additional damage if his last one connects. It is only really useful against bad opponents, since Ziggy will be hitting his main attack more consistently. Against good players, however, they will be able to dodge most of Ziggy's shots relatively easily, making this star power provide much less value.

Hypercharge: The Grand Vortex
"A Hypercharged Super returns to Ziggy upon reaching its max range/lifetime."
Charge rate: 2 and 6/7 supers
Ziggy's hypercharge essentially turns his super into a boomerang, returning after it reaches maximum distance. This allows his super to last an incredibly long time and provide additional damage and control. The best part about this hypercharge is it can allow Ziggy's super to get value even if you initially miss. Since most enemies sidestep Ziggy's super, if positioned properly, you can catch enemies when it returns, which is great for the damage and slow provided by his Thunderstruck star power, allowing for a potential kill.

Gear selection:
Shield is Ziggy's best gear, as he is incredibly squishy and needs the extra health. For his second gear, the gadget gear works very well with his Electric Shuffle gadget, as it provides a ton of value and can be spammed off cooldown, with gadget gear reducing the already short cooldown. Damage is also a solid option to give him more damage output at low health.

Best Matchups:
Ziggy's ability to effectively zone enemies from a very long range coupled with his thrower-like attack allows him to excel against brawlers with low mobility, as they can't escape his abilities easy and can't close the gap on him. Brawlers such as Emz, Penny, and Jessie are shut down and zoned well by Ziggy.

Best Counters:
Ziggy gets completely hard countered by almost any aggressive pick, as he has no way to deal a lot of damage or crowd control them once they get close due to his attack delay, with his only option being to escape with his Now You See Me... gadget. Brawlers such as Mortis, Kaze, and Edgar can easily get right on top of Ziggy and quickly assassinate him with their high burst damage.

Best Game Modes:
Ziggy is an extremely oppressive controller in modes like Hot Zone if the enemy doesn't have any counter to him, as his super cover an insanely large area that can force enemies out of the zone. He can also be a good thrower in Knockout, since his abilities become extremely hard to avoid once the poison closes in.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Ziggy's kit focuses mainly on area control rather than straight damage, so your main objective in the game is to force enemies out of or into a specific area.
-
Ziggy's main source of damage output is his Electric Shuffle gadget combined with some of his main attacks, since he can technically have multiple lightning strikes at the same time, making it incredibly hard for enemies to dodge.
-
Since Electric Shuffle auto-aims Ziggy's shots, use Ziggy's main attack in the directions enemies are walking, as they are forced to walk in a straight line if they don't want to take damage.
-
Ziggy's super often restricts enemy movement, so you can use it to cut off escape paths or to force them into your teammates. Control is Ziggy's priority, not damage.
-
When using Ziggy's hypercharge, position yourself so that when the super returns, it will hit enemies, as it is much harder for them to dodge the returning super.
-
Make sure to take advantage of Ziggy's slow with Thunderstruck, as it allows him to auto-aim slowed enemies, which is great as Ziggy's main attack can deal a lot of damage if it hits. This is the main way Ziggy can secure kills against skilled players.
-
Predicting enemy movement is key to playing Ziggy well. More than most brawlers, as his attacks have a long delay and have a slow reload speed.
