Lumi
"A passionate metalhead and a talented drummer, Lumi traded her drumsticks for morning stars when she got her job at Starr Park. She controls elements of ice and fire, which reflects her shy nature and her burning passion for music!"
Class: Damage Dealer
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Madevil Manor with Draco
Best skin: Persephone Lumi
Record title: "Headbanger"

Lumi is a brawler with strong control potential and is a constant offensive threat with her constant shots. However, she is very volatile in the face the is incredibly squishy, and has no way to defend herself against aggressive brawlers.

Health: 2900 to 5800
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Good Morning... Star
"Lumi throws one of her morning stars. She can throw both of her weapons, with her third attack recalling them, dealing damage to any enemies caught in their path!"
Damage: 600 to 1200
Recall Damage: 900 to 1800
Range: Long
Lumi has a unique main attack, throwing out her morning stars, which are left on the ground where the attack ends. After firing out two of them, Lumi's next shot will recall them, going through walls and enemies alike and dealing increased damage. Since Lumi can leave her attacks on the ground, it allows for her to have amazing control potential with just her main attack. She also doesn't have a reload speed, making it so that she essentially has infinite ammo, giving her constant pressure with her main attack.

Super: Blast Beat
"Lumi pounds the ground three times, causing explosions that deal area damage. The third explosion briefly snares enemies, making them unable to move but still able to attack."
First Explosion Damage: 1000 to 2000
Second Explosion Damage: 1200 to 2400
Third Explosion Damage: 1400 to 2800
Root Duration For Third Explosion: 1 second
Range: Long
Lumi's super is three explosions, with each subsequent explosion being bigger and dealing more damage. Additionally, the third explosion roots enemies, making them unable to move. Lumi's super can go under walls, and each explosion appears after a slight delay. It deals a good amount of burst damage with the third explosion, which is the explosion that will hit most often, allowing it to finish off kills very well since it goes through walls. The root is also a nice bonus, allowing Lumi and her team to finish off enemies caught in it easier, however they can still attack and use mobility abilities to get out of it.

Gadget 1: Hit The Lights
"Lumi iginites her morning stars on the ground, producing flames which damage nearby enemies for 3.9 seconds. Damage per second: 360."
Cooldown: 14 seconds
This gadget gives a little bit of damage over time around Lumi's morning stars on the ground. However, the area is incredibly small, and it doesn't even deal much damage, making it almost useless.

Gadget 2: Grim And Frostbitten
"Lumi creates freezing winds around her morning stars on the ground, creating a slippery surface for 3.9 secs."
Cooldown: 23 seconds
This gadget greatly enhances Lumi's control abilities, making her attacks deadly even if you are just near them. The slippery area is incredibly hard for enemies to escape, and they also have incredibly predictable movement. If you take advantage of it, it is an easy kill for Lumi and her team. Even with a long cooldown, it is still worth it to use because of the pressure it gains.

Star Power 1: 42% Burnt
"The explosions from Lumi's Blast Beat also set the area on fire for 4 seconds. Fire damage also scales with explosion damage. Damage per second for the biggest explosion: 560"
This star power gives some extra damage over time to Lumi's super. It's not too bad, but is very mediocre and not worth it compared to Lumi's other star power.

Star Power 2: Half-Time
"Lumi slows enemies hit by her recalled morning stars for 1 seconds."
This star power makes Lum's recalling morning stars much more threatening, as the slow allows for Lumi and her team to land their shots much easier on the enemy, and makes it much harder for them to escape. The slow can also be chained thanks to Lumi's constant attacks, making this star power a must for Lumi.

Hypercharge: Drum Solo
"The final explosion from Lumi's Super has an extra blast on both sides."
Charge rate: 2 and 1/2 supers
Lumi's hypercharge gives her super much more coverage on the final explosion, allowing for multiple enemies to easily be caught inside and rooted. However, it doesn't make her any better at close-quarters combat, as the extra blasts only apply to the final explosion. It has a moderate charge rate, allowing you to get one in a game quite easily if you are playing well.

Gear selection:
Shield gear is a must for Lumi, as she has incredibly low HP, and doesn't even have that much range either. Shield gear gives her a massive boost in health, allowing her to survive more interactions. Gadget gear is Lumi's second best choice, reducing the cooldown of Grim And Frostbitten by a large margin since it has a long cooldown. Health is also a good option for Lumi since she has infinite ammo, allowing her to heal up faster and get back to spamming out her shots.

Best Matchups:
Lumi is a great pick into midrangers and tanks that don't have mobility, as her constant shots and control often forces them far back, and she often outranges them, making her nearly untouchable. Brawlers such as Griff, El Primo, and Charlie are solid matchups for Lumi, as long as she keeps up the pressure with her constant shots, control, and doesn't get hit too often.

Best Counters:
Lumi is hard countered by aggressive brawlers with dashes, as she has very low HP and no countermeasure to aggression. Brawlers such as Mortis, Kaze, and Edgar can easily win against Lumi if they are able to close the gap and get in range.

Best Game Modes:
Lumi is a great controller in most modes, provided the map isn't too open or doesn't have too much cover. Hot Zone and Gem Grab often have the most balanced maps and favor control brawlers, allowing Lumi to thrive in these modes.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Try not to auto-aim with Lumi's main attack, as it has a relatively slow projectile speed, and it is very important where you position the morning stars on the ground for maximum recall value.
-
Sometimes, leaving Lumi's attacks on the ground for pressure is more useful than immediately recalling them. If you recall them, enemies can take advantage of the brief opportunity to close the gap on Lumi and kill her before she can fire out her next attack.
-
Lumi's recall is her main source of damage and crowd control with Half-Time, so make sure to use it as well and efficiently as possible.
-
Lumi's super can be used as a solid finisher against retreating opponents, as it has long range, deals a large amount of damage on the third explosion, and can go through walls. If the explosino itself doesn't get the kill, the root also sets up Lumi and her team for the kill.
-
Try to position your morning stars to be relatively far away before activating Grim And Frostbitten, as stacking the attacks makes the slippery area smaller, resulting in less area control.
-
Make sure to take advantage of all of Lumi's crowd control effects from her super, gadget and star power. These are key to maximizing Lumi's control value and killing ability.
-
Lumi's offensive pressure and control are her defining aspects, being able to constantly spam her shots and keep enemies back if she isn't taking damage. This means that when you recover your HP, you need to make sure to get maximum value out of it, as you want to get back into combat as soon as possible.
-
Lumi's max damage range is around the edge of her attack range, as with her second shot her recall can do immediate damage. It allows for her recall damage to be more consistent, which is also amazing for activating Half-Time.
-
When Lumi recalls her morning stars, they recall through walls. This means, with correct positioning, her attacks can hit enemies behind walls, slowing them with Half-Time.
