Gigi
"A cursed puppet who brings an unsettling vibe, Gigi and her bonded magician's glove are never found apart. You can find her in the Oddities Shop, dancing between the bookshelves."
Class: Assassin
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Oddities Shop with Juju
Best skin: Scarecrow Gigi
Record title: "Strung Up"

Gigi is an assassin that can have incredibly high burst damage if you manage her well, being able to take out many brawlers in the game incredibly fast from a decent range. However, her main attack range is very short, and her trait used to charge her super is incredibly matchup dependent.

Health: 4100 to 8200
Movement speed: Very Fast

Trait: Charges super from nearby projectiles.
Gigi's trait charges her super and hypercharge slightly when a projectile is near her, whether it hits her or she dodges it. However, some attacks, such as dashes and attacks from above, do not charge her super/hypercharge. Each projectile from a multi-projectile attack charges her super individually. Additionally, most piercing attacks in the game contain multiple projectiles. Only one can hit a target at a time, but Gigi charges up her super from however many are in her range. It takes 20 projectiles to fully charge her super.

Main Attack: Pirouette Power-Up
"Gigi spins, dealing damage to all enemies around her, and gains movement speed while spinning."
Damage: 550 to 1100
Range: Short
Reload Speed: Very Fast
Gigi's main attack is a short ranged spin that deals damage around her in a circle, and has a few interesting aspects. Aiming automatically fires her shots, and you can hold aim or auto-aim to continuously unload her shots. She can store up to 10 ammo, and reloads them very quickly. Additionally, she also gains a solid movement speed buff while attacking, allowing her to catch up to close enemies and dodge more shots. Her attack also unloads faster the less ammo she has, so to maximize her burst potential, you want to stay at around half ammo.

Super: Furacão 3000
"Gigi charges up for 0.8 sec, then appears at the targeted area. Gigi can charge up again for 3 sec to return to her starting position, dealing damage when she leaves."
Return Damage: 1500 to 3000
Duration: 3 seconds
Range: Long
Gigi's super teleports her to a target position after a delay, and for the next 3 seconds, Gigi has her super automatically filled and can use to teleport back to her original position. Returning also deals a large amount of damage to enemies in her main attack range, allowing her to quickly burst and disengage from fights. Gigi cannot cycle another super in those 3 seconds, but can charge her hypercharge. After the 3 seconds, if Gigi did not recall, her super will be fully depleted. Gigi's return super also recharges it by 50% with each enemy hit, allowing her to cycle her supers well if she hits the return.

Gadget 1: Longer String
"Super charging area is bigger."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This gadget almost doubles the radius of Gigi's super charging trait for 4 seconds, allowing her to charge her super off of much more projectiles, even ones that are aimed towards her teammates. It is great to allow Gigi to cycle to her first super, and other supers if she ends up fully depleting her super. It can also be spammed throughout the game since there is no drawback to using it. Try to time it right before multiple enemies start firing at you to get maximum super charge.

Gadget 2: Now You See Me...
"Gigi creates an area that makes herself and allies invisible while inside. Lasts 3 seconds."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This gadget grants an invisibility area around Gigi for her and her teammates that lasts 3 seconds. This gadget really isn't very good since the area is very small and doesn't last a significant amount of time. It also doesn't alleviate any of Gigi's key weaknesses, making it provide much less value than her other gadget.

Star Power 1: Plié Protection
"Increases Super charge rate by 30% if no damage has been received for 3 secs."
This star power increases Gigi's overall super charge rate, especially on skilled players. They can dodge incoming projectiles and get additional super charge off of them, allowing Gigi to cycle through her supers and hypercharges more efficiently. However, if you are constantly taking damage from the enemies, this star power can provide almost no value, so you should only use it against either bad enemies or brawlers with easy to dodge projectiles.

Star Power 2: A Helping Hand
"SHADOW PUPPET now heals for 2400 after charging up."
This star power grants a large burst of healing to the initial teleport of Gigi's super, which is great since she can now use it even if she isn't on max health. This is especially good into good matchups for Gigi, as she can easily cycle her super and accumulate tons of healing, increasing her survivability and making it so she doesn't have to heal up passively as much.

Hypercharge: The Grand Vortex
"Gigi's Super deals damage when appearing at a target location, as well as returning to the original location."
Charge rate: 2 and 6/7 supers
This hypercharge makes Gigi's super deal damage around her when she initially teleports. The range and damage is the same as the return damage, allowing Gigi to have insanely high burst potential from a long range, 6300 without any main attacks. This hypercharge can get some great teamwipes if you are able to catch multiple enemies on the return, and can deal devastating damage if you are able to get the initial and return teleports. Since Gigi can cycle her supers very effectively in good matchups with her trait and return damage, Gigi can get her hypercharge very frequently in a game. She also charges her hypercharge in the 3 seconds after she teleports with her super, often making her have her hypercharge every other super.

Gear selection:
Damage is Gigi's best overall gear, as she has relatively high health allowing it to activate at a higher HP threshold. It also increases her burst potential with her return damage, allowing her to kill brawlers slightly faster. For second gear choices, shield is a solid option to increase her survivability when teleporting in, and gadget gear is also a great choice to spam out her Longer Strings gadget more often to cycle more supers and hypercharges.

Best Matchups:
Gigi is very reliant on brawlers with multiple projectiles to charge her super. Even though they might not be the best targets to teleport on, them just shooting at her can rapidly charge her super and hypercharge, which can lead to devastating results for the rest of her team. Moe is by far Gigi's best matchups, as his attacks have an absolute ton of projectiles, and he can't burst down Gigi when he teleports on her unless he has his super available. Gene and Spike are also great examples of brawlers that can charge up Gigi's super incredibly fast, but they often aren't her best targets. Target squishy brawlers with low burst with Gigi, but charge her super off of multi-projectiles brawlers.

Best Counters:
Gigi gets countered by high-health brawlers that have a single shot projectile, as they don't charge her super and are often horrible targets for Gigi to teleport on. Brawlers such as Jacky, Doug, and Hank can easily survive her burst, and barely charge her super if at all, making her struggle to gain momentum in the game.

Best Game Modes:
Gigi is more of a matchup dependent brawler than mode dependent brawler, however she does have some highlight modes. Brawl Ball often has brawlers with tons of projectiles, allowing her to charge her super more frequently, and also has cover for her. Additionally, her super is a great way to dribble the ball and get a sneaky goal. She can also be good in Knockout, as the passive gameplay allows her to guaranteed get her super over time, and it is a very powerful assassination tool once the smoke closes in.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Gigi is a very movement reliant brawler. Use her main attack speed boost occasionally to go up the map and dodge more shots, and stay close to projectiles but don't get hit by them to charge your super.
-
Before teleporting in with Gigi, try to be on around half ammo. She unloads her attack much faster at lower ammo, so staying at around half ammo massively increases her burst potential.
-
Since Gigi's main attack has such short range, you will mainly be reliant on her trait to charge up her super. This is what makes Gigi so matchup dependent, since she is useless without her super, and is reliant on certain enemies to charge it up.
-
Gigi's teleport location is shown while charging up to teleport, allowing enemies to get out of the way. Try to use your super when the enemies aren't expecting it so you are more likely to teleport directly on them.
-
Try to time your recall super when the enemy is at the perfect HP to where your recall super will kill them. This allows Gigi to assassinate brawlers much quicker, so use damage calculations to know how many main attacks you will need to get them below the damage threshold.
-
If there is a brawler with less health than your recall super damage, you can simply teleport to them and instantly teleport back. This is overall a good play since you get a kill without overextending, and still have half of your super charged. This also applies to her hypercharge, where the HP threshold shoots up to 6300.
-
Hitting multiple enemies with your recall super is incredibly strong with Gigi, as it instantly recharges her super, allowing her to teleport in again and even gain a large burst of healing with her A Helping Hand star power to allow her to survive. It also cycles a lot of her hypercharge.
-
Since Gigi stops moving when she is channeling her super, don't use it in an area where you can get burst down quickly, as enemies can kill you before you teleport, wasting your super.
-
Gigi's super is an incredibly strong dribbling method in Brawl Ball, since she can instantly teleport to the ball and even has a second super to superkick the ball up the map or into the goal. If you have her hypercharge available, you can even use it to immediately kill squishy enemies that have the ball, stealing it from them and scoring a goal.
