Angelo
"Larry sells tickets to Starr Park visitors under the watchful eye of his twin, Lawrie. Larry loves rules, they make life easier! Lawrie doesn't love rules so much as enforcing them. They make a good team."
Class: Marksman
Rarity: Epic
Trio: Swamp of Love with Willow and Alli
Best skin: Dionysus Angelo
Mastery title: "Bloodthirsty"

Angelo is a great high-damage marksman with a charging shot and surprisingly high mobility with his trait and movement speed. His main attacks deal a ton of damage, especially combined with his super, making him a constant threat on long-ranged maps.

Health: 3000 to 6000
Movement speed: Very Fast

Trait: Angelo can move over water.

Main Attack: Take Aim
"Hold the aim to charge up your shots."
Max Damage: 2000 to 4000
Minimum Damage: 200 to 400
Range: Very Long
Reload Speed: Very Fast
Angelo's main attack is a long-ranged arrow that can be charged up to deal deadly damage. You can also spam out low-damage shots if the situation calls for it, making it a great main attack. You can't heal when charging up however, so use it carefully.

Super: Welcome To The Swamp
"Angelo creates a poison cloud that lasts for 8 seconds and damages enemies. While in the cloud, Angelo's arrows become poisoned, dealing extra damage over time."
Damage: 500 to 1000
Range: Short
Extra main attack damage: 50% over 4 seconds
Duration: 8 seconds
Angelo's super creates a small area that while he is on it, poisons his shots, allowing one shot to deal upwards of 6000 damage. It almost never deals damage to enemies directly, however the extra damage it adds to Angelo's main attack makes him much more of a threat.

Gadget 1: Stinging Flight
"Fly into air for 1.0 seconds. Drains 660 health from nearby enemies on takeoff."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This gadget is great for Angelo, giving him even more mobility with a very long jump. You want to mainly use it defensively, either to escape an aggressive brawler or dodge incoming shots.

Gadget 2: Master Fletcher
"The next Take Aim pierces enemies and the environment."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This is pretty much a broken gadget for Angelo, being the main reason he is such a threat. With his main attack already dealing a ton of damage when charged, the ability for it to go through a wall makes it even stronger. Combining it with his super poisoning his arrows makes this gadget even more deadly.

Star Power 1: Empower
"Staying inside the Super will heal Angelo for 600 per second."
This is an amazing star power for Angelo, giving him a much needed form of sustain. He doesn't heal very well due to his charging attack, so passive healing with his super is incredibly useful for him. This star power is his main form of healing throughout the match.

Star Power 2: Flow
"Angelo gains 25% increased movement speed after entering water."
This is a very map-dependent star power, as it needs water to even have an effect. Angelo won't spend much time moving over water on many maps, making this star power not necessary to get.

Hypercharge: In My Element
"During Hypercharge, the Super will follow Angelo!"
Charge rate: 3 supers
Speed buff: 24%
Damage buff: 25%
Shield buff: 5%
Angelo has a decent hypercharge, fixing the main weakness of having to stay in his super. Combined with Empower, it also gives him a guaranteed 4800 healing over time. It doesn't take too long to charge, but you will not often get more than one per game. The stat boosts are also solid for him, allowing Angelo to deal 5000 damage with a fully charged shot, increasing its kill potential even more.

Gear selection:
Angelo's best gears are shield, health, and damage. Shield is great for him due to his low HP, and damage can increase his damage even more if low HP. Health is also a great option to make sure Angelo isn't healing for too long and can get right back to charging up his next shot.

Best Matchups:
Angelo is a great brawler into brawlers that are squishy and have shots that are hard to hit, as his high damage per shot and fast speed allow him to more consistently win those matchups. Belle, Piper, and Brock are solid matchups for Angelo as they fit these categories very well. Angelo is also good into most brawlers he outranges on open maps, and isn't really countered by assassins due to his solid mobility.

Best Counters:
Angelo's hardest counter is Nani, as she outranges him and can reflect back his high-damaging shot. He is also countered by brawlers with fast speed, as his projectile is relatively slow, so Jae-Yong and Max are solid options into him.

Best Game Modes:
Angelo excels in Knockout and Bounty due to his extremely high range and mobility as a marksman. He is also exceptionally good in Heist due to the abundance of water on most maps, allowing him to be more mobile than most other brawlers. He can also maintain control on Heist, which is very important for allowing the rest of your team to get damage on the safe.

Tips and Tricks:
-
When using Angelo's Master Fletcher gadget, you want to be playing claw style in order to press your gadget while holding down your attack. This allows you to more often catch enemies off guard, securing kills and damage.
-
When charging your shot with Angelo, you should always be holding down auto-aim, that way the enemies can't see where you are aiming and you have less of a chance to accidentally fire.
-
Angelo has a very fast movement speed, so use it to your advantage to apply more pressure and dodge more shots.
-
Know when to heal up with Angelo. It can take him a while after healing to get back into the game due to his charging shots, so try to heal with Empower and only heal when you need to.
-
If you have your super, you can hit multiple enemies with low-damaging shots to force them back, as they won't be able to heal, gaining you and you team more position.
-
In Heist, you can use your Stinging Flight gadget to jump on the safe and use your super. It deals 8000 damage on the safe, which can be very good in some scenarios.
-
Angelo's poison shot actually doesn't instantly go away when exiting his super, it stays for around one second, allowing you to still fire and get the poison off.
-
Angelo's shots still deal a ton of damage even if you don't charge them up all the way, dealing around 2000-3000 damage. You can use this to more quickly kill enemies at lower than 4000 health, but you can still charge it up fully if you want more supercharge.
