Berry
"Working at Mandy's Candy Shop, what could go wrong? EVERYTHING! Luckily, Berry has the patience and toughness of a workhorse. He seems to hate every second of his job, but at the end of his shift, you might catch a brief smile."
Class: Support
Rarity: Epic
Trio: Candyland with Mandy and Chester
Best skin: Pegasus Berry
Mastery title: "Unicorn"

Berry is a great area-control support that can quickly cycle through his super and hypercharge thanks to his trait, and can even be a pseudo-assassin and thrower with his kit. He is best used when paired with certain brawlers, as he can consistently heal them in an specific area.

Health: 2500 to 5000
Movement speed: Normal

Trait: Charges super with healing. Applies to both Berry and teammates.

Main Attack: Meltdown
"Berry throws melted ice cream at a targeted area, damage enemies and healing allies on impact and over time."
Damage: 660 to 1320
Healing: 330 to 660
Duration: 6 seconds
Range: Normal
Reload Speed: Very Slow
Berry's main attack is great for area control and constant healing, as it stays on the map for a very long time. However, his attacks do not stack if placed on top of each other, only the initial damage takes effect with any shot used afterwards. It has a relatively short range and very slow reload speed for a thrower, so he shouldn't be used as a general thrower, rather for support.

Super: Sweet Swirl
"Berry dashes forward, spinning and dropping melted ice cream around him, damage enemies and healing allies on impact and over time."
Damage/Healing: 1520 to 3040
Puddle Damage: 660 to 1320
Puddle Healing: 330 to 660
Puddle Duration: 6 seconds
Range: Long
Berry's super is a dash that provides a huge burst of healing and damage, and leaves behind his main attack puddles along the way. It is a major part of his kit, due to it charging up through his healing and also charging itself back up with its healing. There are also some situations where you can use the super to secure a kill, making Berry even more versatile as a support.

Gadget 1: Friendship Is Great
"Berry swipes his tail, knocking back enemies and healing nearby allies for 1000 health."
Cooldown: 17 seconds
This is an amazing gadget for Berry, making him able to deal with aggressive brawlers much better with the knockback. The healing is also amazing, as it also charges his super due to his trait. Combined with his super, it also makes him more effective as an assassin, as the knockback allows you to get additional attacks off.

Gadget 2: Healthy Additives
"Berry's next main attack area lasts for 100% longer."
Cooldown: 12 seconds
This gadget allows for better area control with Berry's next attack, as it lasts an incredibly long time. However, you will rarely get extra damage on an enemy brawler, as they will simply move out of the puddle. It is extremely effective on Heist however, as just one gadget can deal a ton of damage over time to the safe, as it is a stationary target, forcing it to take all of the damage. The short cooldown makes Berry a constant threat on offense, a feat no other support brawler can really do.

Star Power 1: Floor is Fine
"Berry gains 50% increased reload speed when standing on his own melted ice cream."
This is an amazing star power for Berry, fixing one of his weaknesses of his slow reload speed. You pretty much always want to be utilizing this star power, as it heavily increases his healing, damage, and area control throughout the match.

Star Power 2: Making A Mess
"Berry's basic attack gains 20% extra damage on impact in areas with no ice cream."
This is overall a terrible star power, only giving slightly extra damage with Berry's attack. However, Berry's attack is mainly used for healing outside of Heist, and even in Heist, it barely does any extra damage to the safe. His other star power gives much more value, making this one obsolete.

Hypercharge: Double Scoops
"Sweet Swirl drops double the scoops of ice cream!"
Charge rate: 2 and 1/2 supers
Speed buff: 25%
Damage buff: 15%
Shield buff: 15%
Berry's hypercharge is amazing, making his super cover a huge area and dealing a ton of damage and healing over time. It also cycles extremely fast due to his trait, allowing him to get it without even dealing damage. The stat boosts are also quite notable, as it heavily increases his healing output, and his damage in Heist.

Gear selection:
Berry's best gear is shield, as he is a squishy brawler that can occasionally be used as an assassin, so the extra HP is extremely important. Both gadget and damage are great second gear choices, and the option mainly comes down to personal preference. Gadget may be slightly better over though, as spamming his gadgets can be an effective strategy.

Other good abilities to buy:

Best Matchups:
Berry is best into low DPS brawlers or brawlers withe a turret, as his healing combined with a high HP brawler makes it incredibly hard for them to get a kill, and his main attack is one of the best for dealing with turret brawlers, as they will take a ton of damage even behind walls. Brawlers such as Mr. P, Jessie, and Penny are amazing matchups for Berry, as they don't deal the most damage and have turrets that are very easy for Berry to take out.

Best Counters:
Berry's best counters are assassins, as he has low HP and relatively low damage, as he is mainly a support brawler. His gadget and super help him against some matchups, but he struggles against assassins with multiple dashes, such as Mortis and Kenji. Crow is also a great counter to Berry, as his healing reduction can render Berry useless, and his jump can easily secure a kill on him as well.

Best Game Modes:
Berry's best modes are Hot Zone and Heist, and he plays very differently in each mode. In Hot Zone, play him as a controller/healer, keeping your teammates alive and on the zone while forcing the enemies away. In Heist, he is used as a damage dealer with his Healthy Additives gadget, and is a constant threat to the Heist safe with it and his dashing super.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Try to hit as many teammates as you can with Berry's super, as it can recharge itself very easily and heals a ton of health.
-
You should almost always be standing in your own puddles, as healing yourself also charges your super, and Berry gains a huge reload buff with his star power.
-
When using your attacks offensively, try to have them cover up different portions of the map, as the damage doesn't stack. This also allows for Berry to have greater area control over the map.
-
Friendship Is Great is a lifesaver against aggressive brawlers. The knockback it provides can often change many interactions, allowing Berry to get more attacks off.
-
Try to constantly be healing your teammates with Berry in order to cycle through your supers and hypercharges throughout the match.
-
If there is a low damaging brawler at low HP, Berry can use his super to dash and kill them, as it deals a ton of damage if you hit them. If they're still not dead, you can use Friendship Is Great to knock them back and finish them off with Berry's main attack.
-
Healthy Additives has an incredibly short cooldown, making it viable to spam it on the Heist safe, dealing a ton of damage.
-
If your team is struggling in Heist to get up the map and deal damage, you can use your super to dash up the map to make it easier to connect Health Additives. Additionally, try to make the shot hypercharged, as it gives a solid damage boost for the whole duration of the gadget.
-
In Hot Zone, Berry is one of the best brawlers to pair with a strong tank, as he can constantly heal them up with his abilities, making them almost unkillable in certain situations.
-
Friendship is great is also useful for its healing, as heals a solid amount and charges up Berry's super. Only use it for healing when you are not facing aggressive brawlers though, as you often want to save it if you get jumped.
