Piper
"Piper wants nothing more than to be the local village baker who hands out pies, cookies and other sweet treats! Just don't ask about her past."
Class: Marksman
Rarity: Epic
Trio: Townsfolk with Barley and Byron
Best skin: Mariposa Piper
Mastery title: "The Sniper"

Piper is an incredibly squishy marksman with a very long range and a very high damaging projectile. She does less damage at close range, however she has multiple ways to deal with close-range brawlers. She is a high skill brawler that rewards players with good aim with heavy damage and killing power from a long range.

Health: 2300 to 4600
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Gunbrella
"Piper fires a sniper shot from the tip of her parasol. The shot gains more oompf the farther it flies!"
Damage at minimum range: 340 to 680
Damage at max range: 1700 to 3400
Range: Very Long
Reload speed: Very Slow
Piper's main attack is a fast sniper projectile that deals a ton of damage if you are far away. It does nearly no damage at close range, however, so you need to make sure you keep your distance from enemies to get as much damage as possible. It also has a very slow reload speed, so you need to make sure to hit your shots.

Super: Poppin'
"Piper hops away to avoid pushy suitors. She leaves them a lady's favor though: live grenades from her garter!"
Damage: 4 x 900 to 1800
Range: Long
Piper's super suits her very well, as it gives her a way to disengage from aggressive brawlers. The grenades also break walls, allowing her to open up the map, which is good for her since she has such a long range.

Gadget 1: Auto Aimer
"Piper pops a defensive shot at the closest enemy, dealing 170 damage, while also pushing them back."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This is a great gadget for Piper, as it gives her an alternate way to deal with brawlers that get too close. The knockback can be a lifesaver in some instances, and it can also interrupt some brawler's attacks.

Gadget 2: Homemade Recipe
"On activation, Piper's next main attack will home in on enemies."
Cooldown: 18 seconds
This is another great gadget for Piper, as her next shot will home slightly and even extend her range. However, you still need to aim your shot close to the enemy, as the homing isn't perfect.

Star Power 1: Ambush
"Piper's attack deals+1190 extra damage (at max range) when she's hidden in a bush."
This may seem like a good star power, as Piper can deal over 4500 damage with one shot, but Piper shouldn't be in bushes, as she is prone to getting snuck up on. This star power also doesn't fix any of her core issues, unlike her other star power.

Star Power 2: Snappy Sniping
"When Piper hits an opponent with her attack, she reloads 0.4 ammo instantly."
This is an amazing star power for Piper, as she has one of the slowest reload speeds in the game. This can allow Piper to feel like she has infinite ammo if she is consistently hitting enemies, and rewards being skilled with her.

Hypercharge: Boppin'
"Piper drops even more bombs as she departs at an increased speed! She also destroys terrain when she lands."
Charge rate: 3 supers
Speed buff: 26%
Damage buff: 25%
Shield buff: 5%
Piper's hypercharge also synergizes great with her kit, not only making her super better defensively from the extra bombs, but allowing for her to use it offensively since she also knocks back brawlers around her when she lands. This knockback is similar to her Auto Aimer gadget, and can turn Piper into a sort of assassin with her hypercharge. It also breaks walls where she lands, which is mostly used as a small bonus.

Gear selection:
Shield gear is a necessity with Piper, as she has one of the lowest HP in the game, and shield gear increases her HP by almost 20%. Gadget gear is best if you are using Homemade Recipe, and damage gear is best if you are using Auto Aimer.

Best Matchups:
Piper is great into other marksman or long ranged brawlers, as she has a faster projectile than most of them and can also outrange and 2 shot most of them. She is a great counter to Colt and 8-Bit due to them having multiple projectile shots, and she can easily connect her shots onto 8-Bit and 2 shot Colt. Belle is a marksman that Piper also has a good matchup into, as Piper can kill Belle in 2 shots, but Belle needs 3 shots to kill Piper. In all of her matchups, Piper just needs to get them below her main attack's damage so she can use Homemade Recipe as a finisher.

Best Counters:
Piper is countered by fast brawlers who can dodge her attacks, eating up her ammo since she doesn't get the benefit of Snappy Sniping. They can also close the gap on her easily and take her down swiftly due to her low HP. Max and Jae-Yong are both fast brawlers with good range, who can also give teammates a speed boost, making it much harder for Piper to deal any damage against them. Nani is also a great counter to Piper, as she can reflect Piper's high damage shot back at her, and she is one of the few brawlers who can outrange Piper and almost 1 shot her with her super.

Best Game Modes:
Since Piper is a long ranged marksman, her best modes are going to be Knockout and Bounty, as she can take advantage of the open maps and dominate with her long range and high damage. She can be good on any open map in general, but it is best advised to play her in Knockout and Bounty as these are where her best matchups generally are.

Tips and Tricks:
-
You don't have to hit enemies at the tip of Piper's range to get maximum damage, there is a generous range where you will still get the max damage.
-
Piper's Homemade Recipe gadget can be used right after getting an enemy below her damage threshold, as the range extension and homing make it almost a guaranteed hit on a retreating enemy if you autoaim it.
-
You can also use Homemade Recipe at the start of a lane matchup to force the enemy back. This is handy if you just need to pressure the enemy back rather than kill them.
-
Piper's super should pretty much always be used either defensively or to break walls. Never jump into enemies with Piper's super unless you activated your hypercharge.
-
Piper can also be pretty good at dealing damage in midrange matchups as well, since her shot can be autoaimed quite easily due to it being so fast.
-
One useful interaction is if you use Piper's Auto Aimer gadget with Snappy Sniping equipped, the gadget shot will also reload 0.4 ammo, which can be very helpful.
-
When using Auto Aimer, try to fire a shot right after, as it is an almost guaranteed hit thanks to the knockback, and the knockback also increases the damage of her attack since the enemy will be farther away. This also applies to the knockback from her hypercharge.
