Eve
"Eve's purpose in life is to mother and protect her precious babies! She'll do whatever it takes to find them a good home... preferably in Ruffs' fur"
Class: Damage Dealer
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Starr Force with Squeak and Ruffs
Best skin: Mothra Eve
Mastery title: "Mother"

Eve is a solid control type long ranged brawler that shoots projectiles with varying damage and float over water. She excels against brawlers with slow reload speeds due to having multiple abilities that can spawn her hatchlings.

Health: 2900 to 5800
Movement speed: Normal

Trait: Can walk over water.

Main Attack: Egg Shooter
"Eve shoots three eggs in a row, with each one being bigger and dealing more damage than the previous egg."
Small Egg Damage: 400 to 800
Medium Egg Damage: 520 to 1040
Large Egg Damage: 640 to 1280
Range: Very Long
Reload Speed: Normal
Eve's main attack fires out three eggs from biggest to smallest at a long range with a relatively fast reload. The bigger eggs deal more damage and also have a bigger hitbox, making it easier to hit the bigger eggs. However, the projectiles are quite slow, making it easy for fast brawlers or enemies with good movement to dodge. Eve also unloads her attacks quite slow, resulting in her lack of burst damage.

Super: Baby Boom
"Eve releases a big egg, which incubates a group of hatchlings. Hatchlings attach to enemies and deal damage over time."
Big Egg Health: 1900 to 3800
Hatchling Health: 1700 to 3400
Hatchling Damage: 800 to 1600
Range: Normal
Eve's super places down an egg that takes 5 seconds to hatch 3 hatchling around it. The hatchlings chase enemies and poison them for 4 seconds when they attach, dealing a decent amount of damage in the process. You usually want to place the egg in a safe spot, usually behind a wall so that enemies can't kill the egg before it hatches. However, the hatchlings also decay 10% of their max health every second, so don't place the egg too far back or else the hatching will simply die before they get close to the enemies.

Gadget 1: Gotta Go!
"Eve jumps away and leaves behind a hatchling."
Cooldown: 17 seconds
Hatching Health: 1160(max level)
Hatchling Damage: 800(max level)
This gadget gives Eve some much needed mobility, allowing her to jump away from aggressive brawlers or jump over incoming projectiles. The hatchling it spawns is also quite useful, wasting an ammo from potentially multiple enemies if they are not coordinated.

Gadget 2: Motherly Love
"Hatchlings spawned from an active big egg will now heal allies over time instead of dealing damage."
Cooldown: 11 seconds
This gadget often takes away value from Eve's super, as the hatchlings are best used for their offensive pressure. The long delay between when the egg is place and when the hatchlings heal also makes it incredibly hard to time, as allies that are low when you place the egg will likely just heal up normally instead of waiting for the hatchlings to heal them.

Star Power 1: Unnatural Order
"Reverses the order of the eggs shot by her egg shooter."
This star power may seem useless at first, since it doesn't add any extra damage, but it is actually quite useful. The biggest egg being first makes it easier to connect since it is being fired out earlier, and it has a bigger hitbox and more damage. This results in Eve's damage output being indirectly buffed.

Star Power 2: Happy Surprise
"Every 5 seconds, the largest egg hitting an enemy from her Egg Shooter will spawn a hatchling."
This star power can occasionally be useful to spawn more hatchlings, however it only activates every 5 seconds and if Eve hits her largest egg. If the shot is missed, the timer resets and Eve has to wait another 5 seconds to get another attempt at spawning a hatchling. These caveats overall make this star power underwhelming, and only really useful against tanks, as you will likely be hitting shots often.

Hypercharge: Generations
"Baby Boom now spawns hatchlings over time!"
Charge rate: 2 and 1/2 supers
This hypercharge changes Eve's super in a few different ways. The egg now decays health over time, lasting 6 seconds. It also spawns a hatchling every time the health decays, and still spawns hatchlings upon expiring. This can lead to up to 10 hatchlings from 1 hypercharged super if you have the mythic gear equipped, which can easily overwhelm the opponents if they have slow reload speeds and single target attacks. However, if the egg is damaged even a tiny bit, the normal hatchlings will not spawn, so make sure to protect the hypercharged egg even more than Eve's normal super.

Epic Gear: Reload
This gear increases Eve's reload speed by 15%.

Mythic Gear: Quadruplets
Eve's super spawns 4 hatchlings instead of 3.

Gear selection:
Eve's best gears are her epic and mythic gears, as the extra reload and additional hatchling make her better at outputting pressure on the map. Shield and damage are also decent gears for her, but her best gears overall are the epic and mythic gears.

Best Matchups:
Eve is great into brawlers that have slow reload speeds and are single target, as they simply cannot deal with her hatchlings overwhelming them and eating up all their ammo. Brawlers such as Gene, Gray, and Meeple all struggle to take down Eve's hatchlings, and if she is able to get a super or hypercharge at the right time, she can force them back into their spawn.

Best Counters:
Eve gets shut down mainly by brawlers with a lot of splash damage, as they can easily wipe out her hatchlings or even take advantage of them. Penny is by far the best counter, as only a few of her main attacks can destroy all the hatchlings, and she can even use them as stepping stones to damage other brawlers. Janet also has solid splash damage and can use her super to potentially assassinate Eve, and even though Piper is single target, Snappy Sniping works on Eve's hatchlings, making her decent at taking them out. However, if Eve doesn't have her hatchlings, she gets completely destroyed by Piper in a 1v1 due to Piper's high single target damage, much faster projectile speed, and Homemade Recipe gadget.

Best Game Modes:
Eve is mainly favored on maps with a lot of water, which tends to mainly be Heist maps. Outside of water maps, she can also be good on Bounty/Wipeout due to her super being able to overwhelm certain opponents, and her Gotta Go! gadget being able to dodge some heavy-hitting projectiles.

Tips and Tricks:
-
When using Eve's hypercharge, protect it at all costs, as even if the egg takes just a little bit of damage you can lose out on a ton of hatchlings.
-
Use Gotta Go! to jump over attacks or to get away from aggressive brawlers. You don't really want to use it aggressively, as Eve has a slow unload speed and low health.
-
When shooting with Eve, try to move with your enemy to allow her projectiles to hit more consistently.
-
Make sure to take advantage of water when using Eve, as she is one of only a few brawlers who can actually move over water.
-
When placing Eve's super, you want to make sure its in a spot where the enemies won't be able to kill it, but not too far back, as the hatchling's decaying health will result in them being one-shot if placed too far away from the enemies.
-
Make sure to aim carefully if you are using Eve's Happy Surprise star power, as if you miss the big egg on the charged shot, you will have to wait another 5 seconds before another is ready. The big egg is still also fired last, making it even harder to connect.
