Fang
"Fang has absorbed so many kung-fu movies he practically lives in one. He's confident, charming, and never uses his hands if he can kick instead!"
Class: Assassin
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Starr Theatre with Maisie and Buster
Best skin: Fanguard
Mastery title: "Sneaker Artist"

Fang is a high burst damage assassin that can also use his main attack at long range to charge his super. He excels at getting quick kills or full teamwipes with his high-damage super that can chain onto multiple enemies.

Health: 4300 to 8600
Movement speed: Fast

Main Attack: Wu-Shoe
"Fang unleashes a swift kick with a hidden trick. If the kick misses the target, his shoe will fly off his foot!"
Damage: 1360 to 2720
Shoe Damage: 340 to 680
Range: Very Long
Reload Speed: Very Fast
Fang's main attack deals quick damage to enemies close up, and can be used at long range for poke and super charge. It has a fast reload speed and can unload 1 shot fast, but the attack has a long backswing, meaning it can take a little bit to fire out another shot. The shoe unleashed after the initial attack travels a long distance, allowing for Fang to safely charge his super up. However, it deals incredibly low damage.

Super: Sneak Ahead
"Fang flies into a nasty kick that upon contact, can chain a further 3 consecutive kicks to near by enemies."
Damage: 1500 to 3000
Range: Very Long
Fang's super is an incredibly long ranged dash that deals a ton of damage to enemies that are hit, and it automatically chains onto multiple if they are within range of the current enemy. This super makes Fang amazing for teamwipes, as he can hit a ton of enemies with it dealing a ton of damage, and can cycle it fast if it hits multiple enemies. The super is also great for solo kills, as Fang can unload his main attack immediately after the super hits, allowing for him to instant kill brawlers at low health. However, Fang is vulnerable to getting killed during the super, as he has no damage reduction or shield while dashing.

Gadget 1: Corn-Fu
"Fang tosses a handful of corn kernels into the air, making it rain popcorn! Each kernel pop deals 1088 damage."
Cooldown: 15 seconds
This gadget throws out 24 popcorn kernels around Fang that can explode and deal a ton of damage each if an enemy comes in contact with them. It is overall a great gadget for Fang on more closed off maps, giving him extra damage behind walls and some control ability as well. Additionally, the short cooldown makes it great to spam as well, however the gadget has a quite a short range, making it unusable on longer ranged maps.

Gadget 2: Roundhouse Kick
"Fang spins and hits all enemies around him, stunning them for 0.5 seconds."
Cooldown: 15 seconds
This is a great gadget for Fang to secure kills when combined with his super, as the stun can allow Fang to get additional attacks off without the enemy being able to respond. It is also great to reset his attack backswing, which is another important part of using Fang.

Star Power 1: Fresh Kicks
"When Fang defeats an enemy with his Super, it's recharged instantly, allowing him to use his Super again!"
This star power can turn Fang into a teamwipe powerhouse, allowing him to chain multiple supers if he can get a kill with them. However, this star power requires incredibly fast damage calculations to know if you will be able to kill the enemy with your super, leading it to be a more high-skilled star power for Fang. However, if you are able to use it correctly, Fang can be a much more effective teamwipe assassin with this ability.

Star Power 2: Divine Soles
"Reduce 688 damage from incoming hits once every 3 seconds. Maximum reduction is 90% of the incoming damage."
This star power essentially mitigates the damage of the next projectiles that hits fang every few seconds, overall increasing his survivability. It's overall a decent star power, though not as fun, flashy, and high-skilled as Fresh Kicks.

Hypercharge: Dragon Kick
"Charge through walls while dropping popcorn on the way."
Charge rate: 5 supers
Fang's hypercharge allows for his super to overcome its biggest weakness, which is enemies that hide behind walls. Fang can now dash through them and easily get the kill on enemies. The popcorn can add some additional damage. However, this hypercharge comes with a massive caveat, which is the incredibly long charge time of five supers, making it incredibly hard to obtain in a game.

Gear selection:
Fang's best gears are shield and damage, as the stat increases they provide allow Fang to survive more interactions and get easier kills on enemies. The damage gear also synergizes great with Fresh Kicks, allowing for Fang to kill enemies with his super more often to recharge it since the super will deal 15% extra damage if the damage gear is active.

Best Matchups:
Fang is a solid counter to long-ranged squishy brawlers that can't crowd control him, as if he can charge up his super, he can almost instantly kill or teamwipe them. Colt, Byron, and Brock are great examples of this, as Fang can easily catch them off guard and either kill them or use them as stepping stones for a teamwipe.

Best Counters:
Fang is mainly countered by normal aggressive counters, as they can shut him down with either burst damage or crowd control. Otis and Gale's crowd control can easily shut down Fang if he tries to dash in, and Bull's extremely high burst damage at point blank and high health makes it hard for Fang to get an even trade on him.

Best Game Modes:
Fang can be a great brawler on Bounty/Wipeout, as his super can be used effectively on the squishy brawlers played there to get a solo kill or game-changing teamwipe. He is also quite good on Hot Zone provided the map is open enough, as enemies tend to group up which leads to him getting more potential value out of his super.

Tips and Tricks:
-
When using Fang's super, try to fire out an attack before you use your super to help cycle it more efficiently.
-
One thing to note with Fang is his attack's long backswing, which leads to him unloading multiple ammo quite slow. However, with his super and Roundhouse Kick gadget, you can reset the backswing, so alternating Fang's main attacks with either his super or gadget allows him to unload his main attacks faster, which can be very helpful for assassinations.
-
If you use Roundhouse Kick at the same time as one of your attacks, you can unload your second shot while the enemy is still stunned, allowing for you to get off more guaranteed damage.
-
When using Fresh Kicks with Fang, always keep track of your enemy's current health and your super + main attack damage so you know how to plan out your next play with the recharging super.
-
Try to learn which enemies you will chain onto with Fang's super, as you want to try to end on a brawler which you can kill easily. This means that you sometimes want to super onto a bad matchup so you can chain and land on a good matchup.
-
Fang's super is incredibly easy to whiff into a wall, so try to use it in a more open area.
-
Sometimes you don't even need to hit an enemy with Fang's super, since as long as you get close you can likely get the kill, but you won't chain onto any other brawler.
-
The most important part of playing Fang is knowing when to go in, as going in at the wrong time can cost you the game. Make sure to wait until the enemies are low on ammo or have used their defensive abilities, then dash in and attempt to kill them.
-
Fang can also use his super to escape if he is low on health, however this can be risky as it can sometimes take a while for Fang to build his super back up.
-
Fang's shoe doesn't have an attack indicator showing where it will land, so you will likely have to practice with him a bit before you know when it will hit.
-
Roundhouse Kick is an amazing gadget in Brawl Ball for both offense and defense, as you can stun enemies in the way of the goal to score and knock the ball out of their hands before they can score.
