Sprout
"Sprout appears to be a cute gardening robot who helps Rosa around the Biodome, but it's actually an incubator with arms and wheels for a strange pink seed!"
Class: Artillery
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Botany with Rosa and Bea
Best skin: Aquamarine Sprout
Mastery title: "Tree hugger"

Sprout is a long-ranged artillery brawler with the unique ability to create walls, making him great at zoning and blocking choke points on the map. However, he cannot deal with any brawler that can get on top of him, as he has no good way to deal damage to them.

Health: 3000 to 6000
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Seed Bomb
"Sprout propels a ball of seeds that bounces around before bursting with a bang! If it makes contact with enemies, it explodes on impact."
Damage: 1040 to 2080
Range: Normal
Reload Speed: Normal
Sprout's main attack can reach very far, as the bounces can extend the range. It's great against squishy brawlers, as he can shoot it over walls and has a large explosion area. However, it takes a second to land at all ranges, and combined with the fact it travels after landing makes it nearly impossible for Sprout to hit enemies that are right on top of him.

Super: Hedge
"Sprout uses its Super Seed to grow a thick vine hedge, creating an impassable though temporary obstacle."
Range: Long
Duration: 10 seconds
Sprout's super places down 5 walls in a plus-shaped pattern, and the walls can be extended if there are walls nearby. This unique ability to create walls makes Sprout great at walling off choke points on the map, as not many brawlers can break or go over the walls. The walls also last for a long time, allowing for Sprout to often completely trap the enemies.
Note: Brawlers with invincibility shields break Sprout's walls, making it impossible for him to cheese enemies in spawn.

Gadget 1: Garden Mulcher
"Sprout consumes a bush to restore 1800 health."
Cooldown: 11 seconds
This can be a decent gadget for allowing Sprout to heal up, however it requires Sprout to be in a bush to heal. Sprout isn't played on maps with lots of bushes, often making him go out of his way to use this gadget. Also, Sprout is often well protected by walls whenever he is attacking, making him not take sustained damage, rather he is often assassinated. This gadget doesn't often help when he is already about to die, and doesn't change the interaction.

Gadget 2: Transplant
"Sprout destroys its current Hedge, but will instantly have its Super fully charged again."
Cooldown: 20 seconds
This is an amazing gadget for Sprout, allowing him to reposition his walls or extend their duration. This can be used right before the walls expire, essentially giving you a free super several times per match.

Star Power 1: Overgrowth
"Every 5 seconds, the next Seed Bomb will explode with a larger explosion radius."
This is a solid star power for Sprout, making his shots more impactful. It can also extend his range slightly, making it easier to clip long ranged brawlers. Enemies also have no idea when he has the larger explosion, making it very hard for them to predict how big his attack is. They will often stay back farther from his normal attacks, thinking they have a larger explosion.

Star Power 2: Photosynthesis
"Sprout activates a shield, partially protecting itself from all attacks while inside a bush."
When entering a bush, Sprout gains a 30% shield. It also lasts for 3 seconds after exiting the bush. This damage reduction can be alright, however it doesn't synergize well with Sprout's kit, being an artillery brawler that gets hard countered by assassins. Extra health doesn't help, as he still gets killed easily by assassins. However, it can be solid against non-assassin matchups, allowing Sprout to gain position easier.

Hypercharge: Thorns
"Sprout's vine hedge now damages nearby enemies."
Charge rate: 2 and 1/2 supers
Sprout's hypercharge is flat out terrible. It only deals 500 damage per second for each tile. Additionally, enemies have to be standing right next to the walls to take this miniscule damage, making it incredibly hard to get value out of this hypercharge. It's only redeeming qualities are its relatively fast charge rate and its use on Heist, as it can get solid damage there if placed directly on the safe.

Epic gear: Super Charge
The Super Charge gear allows Sprout to charge up his super in 1 less hit.
Gear selection:
Sprout's epic gear is a great buff and almost necessary to him, allowing him to get his super much more frequently. His second best gear choice is mostly personal preference, as he doesn't get too much of a benefit from the other ones. Shield is likely the best, as Sprout does have low health.

Other good abilities to buy:

Best Matchups:
Sprout is great into squishy brawlers without mobility or wallbreaks, as he can often 3 shot them from a long range behind walls, and his super can completely zone them off. Brawlers such as Spike, Byron, and Bea are countered well by Sprout.

Best Counters:
Sprout gets hard countered by aggressive brawlers, as he has literally no way to damage them if they get on top of him, as his attacks take a while to land. Brawlers such as Edgar, Mortis, and Mico completely destroy Sprout in a 1v1 unless Sprout can block them off with his super.

Best Game Modes:
Sprout's best modes are Knockout and Bounty, as he can use the walls positioned on the map to extend his super range and as cover to attack behind. His counters also aren't played often in these modes, increasing his viability.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Sprout's walls have numerous different uses, mainly being used to block off choke points. However, you can also use it in many different ways, such as providing cover for yourself and protecting yourself if you get jumped.
-
With good timing, you can place Sprout's super on yourself to dodge an incoming attack, as it gives you brief immunity frames. This is great for dodging attacks such as a Mandy or Nani super.
-
You can also use Sprout's super to massively extend the range of your next attack, however this is incredibly hard to do and requires extremely precise aim and timing.
-
When using Sprout's hypercharge on Heist, you want to place it slightly offset from the safe's hitbox. This allows you to use Transplant on it, then place another super right on top of the Heist safe. If done right, this can result in a ton of damage over time.
-
When Sprout's super is down, try to charge up another super. If you successfully charge another super, use the super, and while it is in the air, use Transplant on the first super. This allows you to have 2 supers down at once, which can be game changing, as the enemies now have 2 choke points blocked for 10 seconds.
-
Overgrowth is a great star power for allowing Sprout to extend his range, which leads to him charging up his super more often and forcing back enemies more often and consistently.
