Jessie
"Jessie is a prodigy who builds guns and gadgets from parts she finds in the junkyard. Maybe one day her mother Pam will see she can fend for herself!"
Class: Controller
Rarity: Super Rare
Trio: Junkyard with Pam and Nani
Best skin: Skadi Jessie
Mastery title: "The Builder"

Jessie is a Super Rare brawler whose main attack excels at dealing with multiple enemies close together. Her super, a turret that shoots at enemies, is where most of her kit revolves around.

Health: 3100 to 6200
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Shock Rifle
"Jessie fires off an energy orb. After hitting a target the orb bounces to the next target in range, hitting up to three enemies. Each bounce deals 25% less damage."
Damage: 1060 to 2120
Range: Long
Reload speed: Normal
Jessie's main attack is a long ranged, slow moving, wide projectile that bounces to multiple enemies. It has a long range, but moves slow, so it is best used in mid range. The damage and projectile speed decrease after each bounce as well.

Super: Scrappy!
"Jessie deploys a gun turret that automatically shoots at enemies. It's made of 100% recycled materials!"
Turret Health: 3300 to 6600
Turret Damage: 260 to 520
Turret Range: Long
Jessie's turret Scrappy is a good area controller, as it constantly shoots at enemies. It is best used placed behind a wall so it is harder for enemies to take it down. It doesn't deal much damage to enemy brawlers, as they can easily dodge the projectiles, but it can deal good damage to stationary targets such as the heist safe.

Gadget 1: Spark Plug
"Jessie triggers a shockwave from her turret, slowing down all enemies within its area of effect."
Cooldown: 15 seconds
This is a great gadget for Jessie, as the area it slows is quite large, and the slow lasts for 4 seconds. This allows Jessie, her teammates, and the turret itself to easily kill any enemy caught inside the slow.

Gadget 2: Recoil Spring
"Scrappy's attack speed is doubled for 5 seconds."
Cooldown: 11 seconds
This gadget often doesn't provide much value, as Jessie's turret is very inaccurate against enemy brawlers, and double the attack speed only adds a little bit of damage. However, this gadget can be a game changer in Heist, allowing Scrappy to deal a ton of damage to the safe.

Star Power 1: Energize
"Jessie can repair her gun turret for 1060 of its missing health by zapping it with her attack."
This is an incredibly good star power for Jessie, allowing her to get more value out of her turret. When she hits her turret, her projectile also triggers the bounce, automatically going towards the enemy. This means the shot is not completely wasted. Since her turret is also a stationary target, it is very easy to hit from long range, allowing her to support her turret from a distance.

Star Power 2: Shocky
"Scrappy the Turret now shoots energy orbs that bounce between enemies. The orb's range after a bounce is 51% of normal range."
The only mode where you would use this star power instead of the other one is heist. It allows for the enemies to not be able to body block the turret. However, this star power is almost completely useless in every other situation, and Energize is still often better in Heist.

Hypercharge: Scrappy 2.0
"Jessie's turret has 50% more health and deals 20% more damage."
Charge rate: 1 and 2/3 supers
Speed buff: 26%
Damage buff: 25%
Shield buff: 5%
Jessie has a decent hypercharge, giving her turret a nice boost and charging quite quickly. It has almost 10,000 HP, making it much harder for enemy brawlers to take out.

Epic gear: Pet Power
The Pet Power gear gives Scrappy 25% extra damage.

Gear selection:
Jessie has a relatively simple gear build. Damage and shield are the best overall, and you can swap either for Pet Power in Heist.

Best Matchups:
Jessie does best into low damage brawlers that can't take out her turret, or brawlers that like to group up. Poco deals low damage and tends to stick near tanks, letting Jessie's attack get bounces. Gene does low damage, groups up near teammates with his Magic Puffs star power, and Jessie can even tank his super with her turret, leaving it wasted. Jessie can also do decent into Doug, another brawler who sticks near teammates. He does good damage, but will get easily subdued by Jessie's Spark Plug gadget.

Best Counters:
Jessie's best counters are brawlers who can take out Jessie's turret fast, preferably behind a wall. Berry and Dynamike are great examples of this, as Berry only needs 1 shot to fully take out Scrappy, and can outheal Jessie's damage. Dynamike can swiftly take out Scrappy, and can also one shot Jessie with his Demolition star power if Jessie doesn't have shield gear. Jessie can also get jumped by assassins easily, so Edgar can get a free kill on her almost every time, but relies on his teammates to take care of her turret.

Best Game Modes:
Jessie's best modes are Heist and Hot Zone. She is good in Heist due to Scrappy being able to deal a large amount of damage to the safe over time combined with her gadget, star power, and pet power gear. She is also good in Hot Zone as Scrappy is great at controlling the zone if placed behind a wall.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Scrappy's placement is very important. Try to place in either key areas of the map, behind certain walls to make him harder to kill, or near the center of the map for maximum area control.
-
Jessie's main attack has a surprisingly fast unload speed, allowing her to burst low-HP targets at close range.
-
If you hold down Jessie's Spark Plug gadget while Scrappy is on the field, it shows the area around him that will slow the enemy.
-
You can use Energize very creatively with Jessie's attack, such as extending her range or using it to scout enemies in bushes.
-
Don't play Jessie in maps that are too open, as her main attack projectile is slow, and Scrappy is very easy to take out in the open.
