Dynamike

"Dynamike is an old miner and prospector who's become obsessed with explosions. Nothing makes him happier than a big boom!"

Class: Artillery

Rarity: Super Rare

Trio: Mining with Carl and Jacky

Best skin: Possessed Dynamike

Mastery title: "Birdie, birdie, birdie!"

Dynamike is a thrower that can do huge damage if you can land his attacks and supers. He also has a very powerful stun, and can one shot many brawlers with his super, hypercharge, and star power. However, like other throwers, he is countered by assassins.

Health: 2800 to 5600

Movement speed: Fast

Main Attack: Short Fuse

"Mike tosses two sticks of dynamite, passing over any obstacles in the way. The fuses are cut as short as Mike's explosive temper!"

Damage: 2 x 800 to 1600

Range: Long

Reload speed: Normal

Dynamike's main attack launches 2 dynamite sticks that can both connect if the enemies are close to the center of them. However, the fuse duration remains the same at all ranges, so it explodes quicker after it lands the further away it is thrown. This leads to his shots being very hard to hit at close range, so he is best countered at close range.

Super: Big Barrel O' Boom

"A big-bada-barrel of dynamite blows up cover. Any surviving enemies get knocked back on impact!"

Damage per second: 2200 to 4400

Range: Long

Dynamike's super is a bomb that deal massive damage, knocks back enemies, and breaks walls. It is a devastating super if landed on an enemy, and is relatively easy to charge as well. The fuse duration works the same way as his normal attack, leading to it being hard to connect at close range as well.

Gadget 1: Fidget Spinner

"Dynamike spins furiously with increased movement speed and throws multiple sticks of dynamite around himself. each dynamite deals 2400 damage to enemies."

Cooldown: 12 seconds

This gadget deals a lot of damage if the dynamite sticks connect, but it is very hard to purposely connect them onto an enemy. The short cooldown and movement speed buff is nice, but this gadget is simply too inconsistent, unlike Dynamike's other gadget.

Gadget 2: Satchel Charge

"Once activated the next main attack also stuns enemies for 1.5 seconds."

Cooldown: 23 seconds

This is one of the best gadgets in the game, as any enemy stunned by Dynamike is an almost guaranteed kill due to his insane damage over walls. It leads to Dynamike getting an insane amount of charge from the enemy as well, and gives great positioning. Even if the gadget is activated but not used, it provides great pressure on the enemy team.

Star Power 1: Dyna-Jump

"Dynamike can ride the blast wave of his explosives to jump over obstacles!"

This star power makes Dynamike do a jump whenever his main attack or super hits himself. He can dodge shots and go over obstacles with the jump. This is probably the most skill-dependent star power in the game, and should really only be used if you are incredibly skilled with it.

Star Power 2: Demolition

"Adds +1600 damage to Mike's Super."

This makes Dynamike's super much more deadly, and can even allow him to one shot many brawlers. Simple star power, but effective.

Hypercharge: Boomer

"Super bomb spawns smaller bombs."

Charge rate: 3 and 1/2 supers

Speed buff: 25%

Damage buff: 25%

Shield buff: 5%

Dynamike's hypercharge is incredibly good, as it is relatively easy to get, is an almost guaranteed kill if it connects due to the damage boost, and he can get multiple supers during his hypercharge. The smaller bombs deal a lot of damage, and charge his super back 50%. This leads to Dynamike easily cycling supers during his hypercharge and likely getting a teamwipe.

Gear selection:

Shield and damage are overall the best gears on Dynamike, as shield gives him more HP to work with, and damage gives him even more damage. Gadget cooldown can also be good to spam out more Satchel Charges.

Best Matchups:

Dynamike can work surprisingly well into many different matchups. He is one of the few throwers with a good matchup into tanks due to his insane damage and Satchel Charge gadget. Hank is one of the brawlers that gets countered the hardest by Dynamike, as he pushes up behind walls, which Dynamike can easily shoot over and stun him. Dynamike also counters turret brawlers well, as throwers usually do, such as 8-Bit and Jessie. He counters 8-Bit really well in particular due to his slow movement speed, allowing for Dynamike to easily connect shots on him.

Best Counters:

Barley is hard countered by assassins or brawlers that can easily close the gap on him. Edgar, Mortis, and Mico are prime examples of this.

Best Game Modes:

Dynamike can be good in Brawl Ball with the right matchups, as Brawl Ball maps tend to have a lot of walls, and players often play more aggressive, which Dynamike needs since he doesn't have the longest range. Even if he dies to assassins a few times, his hypercharge is still a great teamwipe option to have. He is also good in Heist maps with lots of walls as he can do a lot of damage with his main attack on the safe if he is behind a wall.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Stay near walls with Dynamike, as he relies on walls to get position on the enemies.

  • Dynamike's super and main attack have almost the exact same range. A good tip is to use your main attacks on one target, then quickly super onto another enemy in range. This often catches the enemy off guard, leading to the super connecting

  • If possible, activate your Satchel Charge gadget in a bush to stun an unsuspecting enemy.

  • Even if you miss Dynamike's hypercharge, there is still a good chance the smaller sticks will allow you to get another super.

  • Dynamike can fully recharge his super with his super and one main attack, or if his super hits two people. This can allow him to deal an enormous amount of damage if he can consistently land his attacks and supers.

  • Dynamike is countered incredibly easily, so try to use him as a last pick in Ranked.

  • Try to stun the enemy before using your hypercharged super on them to guarantee the super connecting.

  • You can also use your hypercharge to pressure the enemy, similar to how you do with your stun gadget.
