Tara
"Tara has seen in the cards that great difficulties lie ahead! But don't despair... she has a terrific selection of magical trinkets for sale to help with that."
Class: Damage Dealer
Rarity: Mythic
Trio: Mystic with Gene and Sandy
Best skin: Urban Ninja Tara
Mastery title: "What's in the cards?"

Tara is an amazing brawler to make game changing plays with, as her super and hypercharge are some of the best in the game if used properly. She has decent range, damage, and the unique ability to overwhelm single-shot brawlers with her gadget.

Health: 3100 to 6200
Movement speed: Normal

Main Attack: Triple Tarot
"Tara flicks her wrist, snapping off three tarot cards that pierce through enemies. Quite a trick!"
Damage: 3 x 480 to 960
Range: Long
Reload Speed: Slow
Tara's main attack throws 3 piercing cards that deal a decent amount of damage with a slow reload speed and solid range. It is great at close range, as all 3 cards will hit and Tara can unload her ammo very fast.

Super: Gravity
"Tara conjures up a mind-boggling gravity well! Enemies in the area of effect get pulled in, crashing together painfully hard."
Damage: 800 to 1600
Range: Normal
Tara's super can take a while to charge up, but it can have a massive impact on the game. The black hole can pull enemies in a large area towards its center, make the enemy unable to attack while being pulled in, and combined with Tara's high-burst main attack, leads to most enemies caught in it being dead. It also breaks some walls at the very center. It can be thrown over walls, however it doesn't have the most range despite it covering a big area.

Gadget 1: Psychic Enhancer
"Tara and her allies are able to see all enemies, even inside bushes, for 4.0 seconds."
Cooldown: 20 seconds
This is a great gadget, albeit incredibly map dependent, as it requires bushes to have any effect. Revealing hidden enemies is a very good ability, even though it is situational.

Gadget 2: Support From Beyond
"Tara surrounds herself with three weak shadows that attack enemies and disappear after 6 seconds."
Cooldown: 17 seconds
Shadow Health: 864 to 1080
Shadow Damage: 536 to 665 every 0.6 seconds
This is an amazing gadget for Tara, giving her the ability to counter single-shot brawlers very well. The shadows don't have a lot of health, but they move fast and deal a lot of melee damage, forcing enemies to either kill them, run away, or take a lot of damage.

Star Power 1: Black Portal
"Tara's Super cracks open a dimensional portal! A shadowy version of Tara appears to heal Tara and her teammates."
Shadow Health: 3400
Shadow Damage: 800 every 0.6 seconds
This star power can sometimes be good, as it the shadow gets almost guaranteed damage on any enemy that survives Tara's super, then goes to attack other enemies. It is particularly good against low DPS brawlers, as they have to waste several ammo in order to get rid of it. However, it does die easily, as it runs directly into the enemies.

Star Power 2: Healing Shade
"Tara's Super cracks open a dimensional portal! A shadowy version of Tara appears to heal Tara and her teammates."
Shadow Health: 3000
Shadow Healing: 400 every 0.6 seconds
This is overall a much better pet for Tara, as it won't run to the enemies and die. It rapidly heals Tara and her team from a decent range as well. It can provide a ton of healing if it is able to stay alive, being incredibly useful even though Tara isn't a healer.

Hypercharge: Blood Boomerang
"Gravity has 20% larger area."
Charge rate: 2 supers
Speed buff: 24%
Damage buff: 25%
Shield buff: 5%
Tara's hypercharge is simple but incredibly effective, as the larger area makes it incredibly easy to pull multiple enemies in and change the game. It also charges in only 2 supers, making it relatively easy to get 1 or more in a game, even against passive brawlers. Note that the hypercharged super destroys all walls/bushes in its area, which can sometimes be bad for Tara, as she often relies on them.

Epic gear: Pet Power
The Pet Power gear gives all of Tara's shadows 25% extra damage/healing.

Gear selection:
Tara's best gear is speed, as she is often played on bushy maps, and the extra speed makes her better and jumping and bursting down unsuspecting enemies. She is also great with damage, shield, and vision, as the extra damage and health are great for her, and her multi-projectile attack makes the vision gear very useful for her. Her pet power gear is often not very useful, as her shadows are used mainly for their health and pressure, so increasing their damage/healing doesn't do very much aside from her Healing Shade star power.

Other good abilities to buy:

Best Matchups:
Tara is great into single shot brawlers, as her Support From Beyond gadget can waste a ton of their ammo, forcing them back. She is great at delaying Surge and Clancy, as they have slow reload speeds, single target main attacks, and can't level up if they hit her shadows. She is also good into tanks, as she deals a good amount of burst damage, and they feed her super and hypercharge. Tanks such as Doug can easily give Tara her super and hypercharge, leading to the enemy team being wiped.

Best Counters:
Tara is mainly countered by piercing brawlers with decent range, as they outrange her, and Tara can't pressure them with her Support From Beyond gadget since they pierce through the shadows. Janet and Sandy are great counters to Tara, as they easily destroy her shadows and can burst or whittle her down from a decent range. Buster is also an amazing counter to Tara even though he is a tank, as his star power gives him immunity to Tara's super while his shield is up, and he charge it up without hitting enemies. He also pierces through the shadows, and can get a swift kill on Tara with his Slow-Mo Replay gadget.

Best Game Modes:
Tara is an amazing brawler for Gem Grab, as her super and hypercharge give her amazing comeback potential. She is also good in Brawl Ball, as the abundance of aggressive brawlers leads to her quickly charging her super and hypercharge.

Tips and Tricks:
-
Tara's super actually disables enemies longer if they are hit on the edge of her super, so try to hit enemies close to the edge to make them easier to kill.
-
Tara's piercing attack synergizes well with her super. If her super pulls multiple enemies, her attacks can hit all of them.
-
Save 1-2 ammo whenever you use Tara's super, as it won't get kills by itself since it doesn't deal much damage.
-
Try to hide in bushes and jump enemies, as Tara has high burst damage with her main attack.
-
In the early game, use Support From Beyond to bully your matchup and gain position on the lane, as the clones can do a lot of work even though they don't have much health.
-
Before getting your super, try to go up against the brawler that struggles with dealing her Support From Beyond gadget, as Tara isn't that great without her super, but this gadget allows her to win matchups without her super.
-
Tara's hypercharge breaks open a ton of the map, so try to be wary of where you are using it, as it may destroy terrain that Tara relies on to charge her super.
